Job Specification

The role

We are looking for someone enthusiastic and driven to come and join our organisation as a Project Manager. You’ll work alongside our delivery team to develop and deploy solutions for our customers. Our head office is based in Leeds; however, this role can also be performed remotely from your home. It may involve travel around the country from time to time and very occasionally international travel.

Having a good understanding of the technology and solutions will contribute to the success of the role, however, having a specific background in tech is not essential. We’re keen to work with someone who can get the best out of people and projects they’re working on.

Our project managers are skilled at getting the best out of the people and the projects they work on. The role requires working with a wide-ranging number of people and different customer requirements, so adaptability is crucial alongside excellent time management and organisational skills. Above all, we are looking for an individual with a can-do attitude who can fit right into the team and take pride in our work.

Responsibilities

  • Working with colleagues and customers to coordinate the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
  • Managing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring any changes in scope are documented and approved as agreed as part of the change request procedure
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Work with colleagues to develop a project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • RAID Management
  • Budget Management
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience as a project manager (ideally in the information technology sector)
  • Stong people skills to excel in customer-facing environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to appropriately manage project activities and customer expectations
  • Exceptional organisational skills, including attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects
  • Refined time and task management skills
  • The ability to adapt to changing scenarios and manage expectations clearly
  • Stakeholder management experience 
  • Experience in planning and coordination of project scope

Desired Skills:

  • Experience of working in an Agile Delivery / Software Development environment
  • Experience working with cloud technologies
  • An understanding of the SDLC
  • Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
