Service Description
The Managed Virtual Meeting (MVM)
solution uses industry-leading multi-conferencing bridge platforms,
which are installed in one of our carrier class data centre
facilities, as well as a range of video conferencing end points that
are installed at the customer’s premises. The end point options
start at Premium or Standard Suites and also support Premium or
Standard Desktops.
All meeting scheduling and real-time
support, as well as all maintenance, configuration and software
updates of end points are handled by the advanced Video Network
Operations Centre (VNOC); this means that the customer need not
worry about the underlying technology.
Technical Overview
Managed Virtual
Meeting is based on next generation Video Conferencing technology
that has been deployed globally. It comprises video Points of
Presence (PoPs) and diverse centralised infrastructure, which allows
seamless high-definition video conference calls
from and to anywhere in the world.

The centralised infrastructure also
contains an easy to use online booking portal so users
can view end point availability and schedule meetings; both read and
write access is available.
MVM suites consist of multiple screens
and at least one camera or codec (which is the device that
translates digital data into the sound and images. The MVM Premium
suite is an all inclusive package of desks, chairs, special lighting
and sound
MVM desktops are comparable to PC
monitors but slightly larger and with in-built cameras. When not in
video use, the sliding cover on the camera may be closed and the
screen used in PC mode, so only one screen is ever required.
